Saddle Mountain wood is almost always beautiful, and this one certainly qualifies as a strong competitor in the beauty contest.  The colors in Saddle Mountain wood are almost always “wood-like” and attractive.  But this piece has something that is rather special - some nice green highlights that give it some extra "punch".  If you already have specimens of wood from this locality, it may be time to add an additional specimen!  Nice manageable size along with the unique color palette.  This end cut measures
4.5” x 3.5” on the polished face and varies between 1/2" and 2 1/2" in thickness.
