    Description

#13616 is a small-medium pair of petrified wood bookends weighing 5.8 pounds. They are many shades of brown with gold, gray and black. They have rugged multicolored bark and a plethora of growth lines that are close together commemorating a long life in a dry clime.
They are 9 7/8” wide, 5 1/2” tall and 1 7/8” thick standing vertically or 10 7/8” wide 5” tall and 1 7/8” thick standing horizontally. This set was taken from a Sequoia tree that lived, died and petrified in the Columbia River Basalt during the Miocene epoch more than 23 million years ago on what we now refer to as Saddle Mountain in eastern Washington State. Their front is polished to a mirror finish and the bottom and sides are felted to protect your bookshelf.
Petrified wood bookends are the ultimate collectible antiques. They not only have incredible beauty but also functionality and are indeed “EXQUISITE HEIRLOOMS” to be passed from generation to generation. They are unique. No two sets are the same even if cut from the same petrified tree.
Thank you in advance for considering this beautiful set. They will be the perfect gift for that special someone who's impossible to buy for or add them to your collection and enjoy them forever.
