Inspection Report:
Up for auction is a Fender Twin Reverb Guitar Tube Amp Box 1969?? w/ Altec Lansing 417-8C Speakers. Item is in previously owned condition. It is being sold AS-IS due to its age and the possibility that there was something we missed while testing. The original speakers were swapped out with a sweet pair of vintage Altec Lansing 417-8C (used by Carlos Santana and Jerry Garcia). We powered it on, the tubes warmed up. I tested the jacks on both the Normal and Vibrato side. When plugged into port one on the Normal side it seemed to cut out at times. There was some hum when the Bass knob was dialed up at all on the Vibrato side. It should also be noted that when I had a Hollowbody plugged into the Vibrato side with the Reverb maxed out - I got nothing but feedback, even after turning all the knobs down to minimum levels and unplugged the guitar. I turned the amp off, turned it back on and the feedback was still there. Turned it off for a while, feedback was gone, plugged in a Les Paul Custom and had no problems. Cosmetic flaws inc: tears in mesh, scuffs, rust, marks, spots of missing vinyl. Auction includes: Fender Twin Reverb Guitar Tube Amp Box 1969?? w/ Altec Lansing 417-8C Speakers, ONLY.
