    Description

    Large Arizona Petrified Iron Wood Stump
    This specimen is from a site near Yuma, Arizona.  It is in its natural state, except that I made a tiny cut from one small protrusion, and polished the end, to determine the wood was a dicot.
    The specimen weighs between 7 and 8 lbs.  Because of the irregular shape, it is not possible to give completely accurate measurements.  I did take measurements while the specimen was in one particular position:  8"  x  7"  x 6".
