Northwood Dandelion Carnival Glass Water Pitcher/Tankard, Amethyst/Purple
Large and impressive pitcher, sometimes called a tankard. Six-sided shape flares out at the base. The design features a large high relief dandelion bloom and leaves. Purple base glass with a deep multicolor iridescence and gold highlights. Classic era carnival glass, introduced about 1912. Uncommon shape.
Condition:  No chips, cracks or repairs. Iridescence is in excellent condition, with a couple of spots of discoloration near the rim but no noticeable wear. There are some tool marks and other very small factory flaws inside the spout.
Marks:  Unmarked.
Dimensions:  13 1/2" high, 7 1/4" wide at handle, 6 3/4" deep.
Color Note: Carnival glass iridescence and color will change in appearance depending on background and lighting conditions.
