    Description
This item in my EBAY store is a NORTHWOOD  "PEACOCK @ the FOUNTAIN"  WHITE CARNIVAL GLASS FTD. SIX RUFFLE COMPOTE.   This NORTHWOOD "PEACOCK @ the FOUNTAIN" white carnival glass ftd. ruffled compote is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age has now become a beautiful family heirloom piece of glass;   This NORTHWOOD "PEACOCK @ the FOUNTAIN" ftd. compote is just the way this beauty left the NORTHWOOD GLASS COMPANY many years ago that remains in excellent condition having NO chips, cracks, scratches, and NO glass staining;   Folks I've been buying and selling this carnival for over forty years and only have owned three of these compotes, you very seldom see these being sold, you do your own research of how many of these big boys are ever sold out of these long time collections, and these boys are known in all the main six colors, NORTHWOOD even decided to use the "hearts & flowers" pattern on the stem of this "PEACOCK @ the FOUNTAIN" compote, now your getting two patterns in one buy;   I may also add that this
NORTHWOOD  "PEACOCK @ the FOUNTAIN"  WHITE CARNIVAL GLASS FTD. SIX RUFFLE COMPOTE is an early NORTHWOOD vintage antique "PEACOCK @ the FOUNTAIN" compote that has been used and displayed over many years and still remains in beautiful heirloom condition;   This NORTHWOOD "PEACOCK @ the FOUNTAIN" white compote that I have here does have the early carnival glass era characteristics of the early carnival glass making process having stress lines, straw marks, and air bubbles sometimes seen inside the glass of early carnival glass, this "PEACOCK @ the FOUNTAIN" compote does have these characteristics inside the glass of this ftd. compote, these characteristics are from the production process and is NOT considered damage, surely the couple of people who have once owned this American beauty surely cherrished this piece of NORTHWOOD antique glass according to the condition this NORTHWOOD "PEACOCK @ the FOUNTAIN" ftd. compote remains in today, all of this info I just mentioned to you is all shown in my numerous photos taken but any questions at all please e-mail me;   A true American piece of early antique glass here, the
carnival iridescence is the satin finish as you can also see in the photo's, I mention everything about the item I am selling, there is something inside the glass that was done during production, this is NOT a bubble, there is nothing bursted, strictly in the making process, the photo's do show this to you;   This is one of the most sought after NORTHWOOD patterns (these big beautiful "PEACOCKS"), it would cost a pretty penny to just collect this pattern alone in the many many colors and items produced in this pattern;   This "NORTHWOOD" "PEACOCK @ the FOUNTAIN"  white compote does not carry the famous NORTHWOOD trade mark, the stem of this compote is the "hearts & flower's" pattern as you can see in the numerous photo's;   You can see this large and very highly collected NORTHWOOD pattern that is shown and talked about in one of my many reference materials, one is a hard back book by "Edwards & Carwile", a book on carnival glass, the "STANDARD ENCYCLOPEDIA of CARNIVAL GLASS 7th EDITION, on page #269;   The carnival glass iridescence is very even over this entire ftd. compote, front and back, the stem is NOT iridized;   I've taken numerous (all) photos outside in natural daylight in different backgrounds in numerous angles & positions to show pattern, COLOR, condition, carnival glass iridescence, & size hoping to answer any and all questions but if need be you can E-mail me or you can see me on my NEW web site at terrymackeyantiques.com.   When using a cell phone or mobile device please click on "see full description" to see more photos and measurements;   Insurance is bought at the USPS at the time of shipment to you, the cost is .25 for the shipping and .75 for the insurance.   All stickers on MY NORTHWOOD  "PEACOCK @ the FOUNTAIN"  white carnival glass ftd. six ruffle compote sent to you must remain on MY NORTHWOOD  "PEACOCK @ the FOUNTAIN"  white carnival glass ftd. six ruffle compote for any glass return, NO exceptions!                 Inventory #379W                8/2/2018        Please read my BIO on my NEW web site.              Will ship International mail when Buyer request shipping cost thru EBAY.
