This is a beautiful polished section of petrified elm wood.
It has been in our personal collection for a long time.
I am not authority of identifying petrified wood. However, I have attended a seminar and I learned enough to say that it is not an easy task.
This piece of wood was identified by our friend Doug, who is expert in identifying petrified wood.
It is ELM wood of the Miocene age and from the Monterey Formation.
The small light color section is Madrone wood. How did it get there?? Madrone
Based on its largest dimensions, it is about 5.48"X5.67"X 0.9".

For domestic shipping, I use USPS Express Mail, Priority Mail or USPS First Class Mail.
I use USPS Express Mail for International shipping. Express Mail is fast and offers tracking.

Priority Mail for domestic shipping takes 2-3 days; First Class Mail, upward of 3 days.
Express Mail International most of the times take about 5 days but it can vary depending on the destination.

Combined shipping.
When combining shipping, all your items are safely packaged in one box (or more for many items). Unless your shipping is free, please request an invoice with combined shipping.
Flat Rate Priority boxes provided by the USPS can be used for domestic shipping. I will be happy to combine as many orders as safely fit in the box (
within the weight limitations set by the USPS)
for a significant savings to you.

Express Mail International most of the time takes about 5 days but it may vary depending on the destination and other factors mostly delays at customs.
The tracking number will be posted on your "My Ebay".
If your package is not delivered within the expected time frame, please check with customs or your Postal Service; your package may be held there for tax payment without any notification to you. Once your package is out of my hands, I have no control over it.
It is good to provide a telephone number. A telephone number appearing in your address may facilitate notification from customs or your postal service.
