Petrified Wood dredged from a Houston Bayou
During a drought in Houston, Texas in 2001 or 2002, the Downtown Houston's Buffalo Bayou was very low. A friend lived on property adjacent to the bayou and we dredged this fossilized wood, and other fossils, from the exposed shore and bank. We sold the larger petrified wood to a member of the Houston Paleontology Society, and I kept this and it has been on display in my private collection.
It is now for sale and would be a handsome piece for a collector, a paleontologist, or an interior design professional, or someone with a Cabinet of Curiosities.
