    Description

    This hefty Paleosmunda sample is a rare fossilized stone of
    Osmundoidae fern stem from 290 million years ago, from Queensland Australia. The first 2 photos are of the specimen offered … the last photo is from prior slabbed material to give you an idea of the typical structure and appearance of this material and how it can appear when cut (of course each specimen varies). These make absolutely amazing cabs !!  This piece is a substantial specimen weighing 9.35 ounces … well over half a pound !! With its wonderful shape and outer surfaces would make a great display piece as is, or could be sliced to produced some amazing slabs for cabbing.
