Handles labeled fair are worn, damaged and/or cracked but still usable.
Many of the replacement handles and knobs look has been "restored" using mineral oil. It's a nice little "trick" to brighten up your revere bakelite handles. Lightly buff mineral oil onto your handles and even the gray weathered handles will look black again. As long as you don't use caustic cleaners the handles should stay looking good for weeks to months depending on how much they are used. Once they start looking gray just treat again with mineral oil as desired.
