Description

This painting is amazing and I haven't seen another which used this technique.  The snow or rain drops are not spattered over the initial image but are created by removing specks of the top layer of paint which reveals the iridescent layer.  Before I removed the painting from the frame, I thought the tiny drops were painted over the image.  The painting also appears to be divided into sections with thin lines which appear to be part of the composition.  The painting measures 10” by 8” and is on paper. Frame measures 12” by 13 3/4”. Condition of painting is very good with no holes or tears and it has never been folded.  The frame is also in very good condition with a few minor gold paint chips.
